More Drones, Fewer Troops? More United States Crimes against Humanity

September 22, 2009

Today, we read More Drones to be used in Pakistan. Indiscriminate killing of targets on the ground from Drones flying as high as 60,000 feet, while the U.S. command says “Taliban killed”, along with collateral damage (innocent civilians killed).

A good outline of the crimes committed by the United States by using Drones is stated here: The attacks violate the Geneva Conventions, the International Covenant on Political and Civil Rights, the United Nations Charter, UN General Assembly Resolution #3314 and the Nuremberg Charter. Even when the missiles hit their intended targets in Pakistan, the orders to fire are given from thousands of miles away by CIA officials watching on computer screens in North America. CIA teams sit, in effect, as collective judge, jury and executioner. Protocol II, Article 6(2) of the Geneva Conventions says: “No sentence shall be passed and no penalty shall be executed on a person found guilty of an offence except pursuant to a conviction pronounced by a court offering the essential guarantees of independence and impartiality.”

The Long War has the best information (as of Aug.5, 2009) “The lethality of Predator strikes inside the tribal agencies has also increased during 2009. Using low-end estimates of casualties (including Taliban, al Qaeda, and civilian) from US strikes inside Pakistan, we have determined that airstrikes resulted in 317 deaths during 2008. Already, the airstrikes in 2009 have surpassed that total, with 365 killed in 2009 as of July 18.Since the first recorded US Predator strike inside Pakistan in June 2004, the US has killed a total of 22 High Value Targets (HVTs), which include some of the high- and mid-level Taliban and al Qaeda leadership in the tribal agencies”.

Go to General Atomics, makers of the Predator for more information on its capabilities

[Ed. Note: The above proves that the U.S. is in violation of many Treaties that the U.S. is signator. A Treaty is the Rule of Law under our U.S. Consitution. President Obama, a Constitutional Law Professor, should know that his ordering a Drone attack is against our Consitution. He has now ordered more Drone attacks than President George W. Bush ordered.]

Stop the Killing: Demand no more troops, no more Drones, no more Killing.

The Mission: Combating Extremism; the Results, Civilians Die

September 4, 2009

Labour Aide Quits In Protest At Afghan Policy, a good place to start today. Reported in some of the press, Gordon Brown is telling President Obama that the British will remain committed to the Afghanistan war effort.

As you know, this site is dedicated to ending the conflicts in Central Asia. What is to gain with more troops, more years there, more money spent, more lives lost? Innocent lives lost. On all sides. Today’s headlines deal with Innocent Death, the killing of civilians. We read “terrorists”, “insurgents”, but these people can not be identified from the flying airplanes or DRONES. We are responsible for these civilians dying. This must end NOW. Write your Congress Member and your Senators right now at this link. It is easy to do. Please do it now. No more troops, no more money, End the War(s) Now.

In Registan.net today Joshua Faust reports about Air Strike in Kunduz (90+ killed by “NATO” air strike)

In The Long War today Bill Roggio reports “Afghan forces and Taliban clash in Kunduz”. Kunduz is the hot spot of the week. The map shown on this post shows the Pashtunistan portion of Afghanistan, almost the whole area.

I normally do not point you to Main Stream Media sites because you all ready have seen that information. But today, there’s a subheading that tells it all The AFPAK war “Combating Extremism in Afghanistan and Pakistan. So that’s our mission, combating “Extremism”. Now that’s an easy one to win. Just kill everybody.

Taliban Chief Baitullah Meshud’s wife dies in Drone attack

August 5, 2009

Bulletin UPDATE:  Crossposted at RBO:http://tinyurl.com/ljz784
And The Long War has an in depth story and Drone History here:
http://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2009/08/baitullah_mehsuds_wi.php

THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY.  Over 20,000 “Taliban” fighters are under the command of Baitullah Mehsud.  If your wife were killed by Americans from missiles being fired from 60,000 feet in the air, what would you do?  They call this Collateral Damage?  There was no Targeted Damage, so this can not be Collateral Damage, it is MURDER.  DRONES kill one target and 20 civilians, that’s the facts by our own Pentagon.  This can not be called Collateral Damage.  End the Drone attacks.  We are making new “Fighters” for the cause against us.

Collateral Damage, that’s when your wife dies from a projectile from the sky that is trying to kill you, but you are not there and it kills your wife and others.  Read this for  a good view of what is Collateral Damage: A Military Euphemism for Murder (see:http://www.zmag.org/znet/viewArticle/1571)

Who died?  Two missiles fired from a DRONE (a death machine with no pilot and flown from a post in Las Vegas, Nevada via the internet, sometimes holding 4-500 pound bombs or other missiles) killed the wife of the Pakistan Taliban leader and others. But not the leader.  He was not there.
