Durand Line cuts right through Pastunistan, splitting 40 Million Pastuns into two countries

Here’s a great example of why the Durand Line was and is so foolish as a border between two countries, drawn by Sir Henry Durand for the British Government in 1893, separating Afghanistan from British India. It is now recognized as the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, but was altered somewhat in a few areas. There are over 40 million living on both sides of this LINE, some now called Afghans and some called Pakistani’s, when in fact, they should be called Pashtuns, and the country should be called Pastunistan.

By Bill Roggio September 1, 2009

A convoy of NATO fuel and supply trucks burn at the Chaman border crossing in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province after a Taliban attack. The convoy was waiting to cross into Afghanistan for two days but was held up as drivers and Pakistani border guards argued over inspections. The Chaman crossing is the second largest entry point for NATO supplies into Afghanistan.

Write to your Congress Member and Senators and tell them: No more war funding; no more troops to Afghanistan; bring the troops home NOW. Tell them how YOU feel.

Just a note to say again how relevant your stories are. This is about the only place I can learn about what’s going on “over there.”

Also, the blog looks just stunning.
