North and South Waziristan? Quetta attack? Then Punjab? Must every village in Pakistan suffer Drone Assasinations?

Today, there’s some stories that tell what is happening in the War Zone (Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq). On this day, President Obama meets with the leaders of the House and the Senate to discuss Afghanistan and the War Zone. Will he go along with the troop escalations? Easy to get in, very hard to get out. Let your voice be heard. At the bottom of the post, you can call the White House, CIA, and write to your House and Senate representatives. End the War(s).

Naveen Naqvi is a senior anchor at DawnNews and presents the morning news programme, Breakfast at Dawn. (whole story here) You can tweet her at twitter.com/naveenaqvi. Today, Naveen writes her thoughts entitled “The games people play” and shows a compassionate side of U.S. aid to Pakistan, and then shows the brutal side. She says “…I met my doctor, a gynecologist-obstetrician, who told me she had just returned from a very exciting trip to the United States. She told me that the administration of US President Barack Obama appears to have a real interest in pushing for funds in the health sector, especially women’s health. Whereas it is generally the Indians and the Bangladeshis that take much of the development funds, the Americans seem to want to invest in Pakistan’s health sector. Again, I was impressed and frankly, reassured. But then here’s what I find confounding: the US pursuit of the ‘Quetta Shura.’ Well, if the Pakistanis were to pursue the Afghan Taliban and Al Qaeda, that would be a good idea. If the Pakistani military and government do that with a little push and nudge from the Americans, that’s not too bad either. But why would the Americans want to threaten to bomb Quetta? And it’s looking pretty likely that it’s on the cards.
Naveen goes on “…But what I do know is that it doesn’t strike me as being the smartest move – to speak the lingo. That too after the whole world, including the US, has acknowledged that drone strikes are hugely unpopular and breed the hatred and anti-Americanism that provokes that clichéd, whining, and ineffectual question: Why do they hate us? The plan to move into Quetta would be another reason why.”

Breaking up is hard to do, but these tribes can not be ruled by others

Second Story: Punjab is next after Quetta? Spread the Drone Assassinations there? Another story from Dawn.com This story is entitled “Fears rise over militants in Punjab” “…This is Osman-o-Ali, the headquarters of Jaish-i-Mohammad, an al-Qaeda-linked militant group which has a long record of violence including an assassination attempt on former president Pervez Musharraf. While Pakistan’s attention is focused on the Taliban and al-Qaeda threat on the Afghan border in the remote northwest, there are fears that the militants are quietly expanding their influence and winning recruits in the country’s heartland. ‘South Punjab is a fertile ground for extremists and militants,’ said security analyst Hasan Askari Rizvi.

Story Three: Pakistan jets ‘bomb S Waziristan’ from Al Jazeera
Pakistani fighter jets have bombed the northwest tribal region of South Waziristan, killing six suspected Taliban fighters and wounding three others, according to a military spokesman.Major-General Athar Abbas said on Tuesday that raids were launched on Makeen and Nawaz Kot to “purge the region” of those responsible for a wave of bomb attacks over the past two years.”According to our analysis, the root of the terror is in South Waziristan where this group is present. It is a must to root out this terror and curse, and for this purpose an operation in this area is inevitable,” he said. “If we do not launch this operation, then terrorism will become strong and would spread in other areas.”

From Daily Times President, PM vow to launch operation in South WaziristanLAHORE: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have vowed to launch a full-scale military offensive against the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Waziristan, reported a private TV channel on Monday. Recent reports have claimed that the army is all set to launch an offensive in the agency, with the required equipment and helicopters now available at bases in the area.

BULLETIN; ONE MORE: From: The Independent: Pakistan readies for new assault on Bin Laden lair Suicide bombers show their resilience with daring attack on UN offices in Islamabad as 28,000 troops mass for imminent strike in the mountains of South Waziristan By Omar Waraich in Islamabad and Andrew Buncombe. Read this for the 10,000 strong Mehsud Tribe information, enemies to some, assets to others.

[Ed. Note: Nothing has changed in North or South Waziristan for the past years except for the Pakistan Military once again attacking both areas, and the U.S. using Assasination Drones to kill people on the ground. The terrorism will grow with more relatives having to be Revenged. Over 125,000 of the area’s population are now ‘displaced’, living where? Where’s the photos of these ‘camps’?]
