The January 2010 elections in Iraq will not solve the problem of the City of Kirkuk. This is the major oil field that the Kurds believe belongs to them and they want the oil revenues. Iraq says it belongs to Iraq. Iraqi Kurdistan is the problem. The Kurds want it to be an independent Kurdistan, and cover a larger area than just what is inside Iraq.
