U.S. Senators discuss Balochistan with Pres. Zadari in Islamabad

Why are the U.S. Senators, led by Senator Carl Levin discussing Balochistan with President Zadari? There’s been talk of the U.S. in favor of Balochistan breaking off of Pakistan. This is the area that is needed for an oil or gas (or both) pipeline from the Caspian Sea, to Turkmenistan, through Afghanistan and directly through Balochistan to the Gulf of Oman. Pakistan wants this pipleline to go across their Balochistan and their Pakistan lands to India. Watch Balochistan carefully. Balochistan has many mineral and gas deposits within their ancestorial lands.

The Senators were relaying the need for a peaceful Balochistan in order for security forces to go elsewhere to fight the terrorists. About a month ago this was reported at Dawn.com: NASIRABAD: Militants who kidnapped 30 people, including at least 20 policemen, from Balochistan’s Nasirabad district’s Chattar area have warned that if the government does not release Baloch prisoners from its jails, the remaining police officials will also be killed, BBC Urdu reported.

Yes, Sikander, I agree, but Pakistan has just taken all the resources and the profits from pipelines now crossing Balochistan and kept the revenues, keeping the Balouch people even burning wood for fuel when gas is pumped from their grounds and sent elsewhere. It is either a Province, with their own government, or they need to become an independent state, like Bangladesh did.
